Time to make terrariums

These past two weeks have been too icy for the garden. The ground is frozen hard and its too cold to start sowing seeds outdoors.
So, for now let's stay toasty warm indoors. It's time to make some terrariums and give the houseplants a little tlc.

A dressing table is something that lots of girls, including myself, always wanted.
This grubby little table had loads of potential to brighten up a dressing up space. With a touch of gold and frosting it does just that.

Black ash was fashionable back in the eighties, I'll never know why.
A once tired, old bookcase now has a new life with pride of place in the living room, carrying precious family photos and my favourite books.

Two cabinets bought at different times and of different styles, both make lovely matching bedside tables for night lights and our latest reads.
Hand painted in the same way and inspired as part of a whole room re-decoration by two lovely gifts.

This lovely oak American style rocking chair was covered in a dark varnish and its seat cushion missing.
It was refurbed to be placed in a baby's room so needed to be light, pretty and comfortable for baby's mum to use and for baby when he's older.
